Town of Gawler Economic Development Strategy, South Australia (2020)

The Town of Gawler was provided a government grant to develop a new five-year economic development strategy, to identify future economic infrastructure and activation opportunities for the Town located beyond the outer fringe of Adelaide and contiguous to nearby agricultural cropping land. This project required analysis of key economic factors including demographic, workforce, industry, and retail trends, before facilitating community and key stakeholder workshops to road test strategic opportunities. The strategy effectively identified the economic rationale that harnessed the benefits of the city and rural regions contiguous to the Town of Gawler.
