Swan Hill Aquatic Strategy – Victoria (2019)

Swan Hill Rural City Council is the north of Victoria along the River Murray. The aquatic strategy included an assessment of the condition of existing aquatic facilities through an engineering assessment and technical audits together with identification of the level and standards of aquatic recreation facilities that Council should provide for residents across the region. Further strategic advice was provided on the management of aquatic facilities and their assets in the region, including an assessment of current Leisure Centre contracts including consideration of in-house versus outsourcing management of Swan Hill Leisure Centre, Robinvale Leisure Centre and Swan Hill Outdoor Pool. The strategy also identified how universal design and environmentally sustainable design principles could be incorporated into project priorities.
