The Shire of Broome commissioned SGL to conduct a business review of its Recreation Aquatic Centre. The review included an assessment of its existing programs and bookings, a financial analysis and a review of its operational policies and practices.
The Business Review identified a range of practices which could be made more efficient and effective, resulting in significant cost savings. Potential cost savings in excess of $100,000 were identified.

The scope of this study was to update SGL’s 2007 report titled “City of Mount Gambier Indoor Recreation Centre Feasibility Study” to reflect 2018 financials (costs and income), location, potential configuration and any changes to facility design and operation that have altered over the past 10 years.

It analysed projected population growth and the opportunities this growth would create and how FDLC could cater for these demands with expanded facilities.

Prepared for the Town of Gawler, the aim of the review was to develop a sustainable community driven model for the operational management of Karbeethan Reserve. This involved a desktop analysis of ‘Best Practice’ community driven management models within South Australia and Australia. Additionally, face to face Consultation sessions for feedback, with opportunity to provide written feedback. Finally, a Preferred Model’ and Implementation Plan was decided upon.
Services: Evaluation, Planning, SportThe feasibility study analysed Upper Hutt City community aquatic needs both presently and into the future, and how the current aquatic facilities met those needs.
Consideration was given to the potential development of aquatic facilities by other parties (schools and/or commercial) within Upper Hutt. The study provided an overview of all facilities available to the community, and engaged with the local Community groups to gather the necessary data.
