The Lightsview Recreation Hub was seeking funding support for development of an Indoor Recreation Hub with four indoor sports courts. The project was estimated to be an $18million construction with funding to be provided by the Port Adelaide Enfield Council and the South Australian Government. The economic impact assessment identified the direct and indirect (or multiplier) impacts of the project on the State as measured by the South Australian Input – Output Tables, in order to determine the construction cost impact and the ongoing operating economic impacts. This assessment was used to provide economic justification for the project, which was subsequently completed.
