CRLL is the $4.5 bn metro rail project for central Auckland in partnership between the Government and Auckland council. The Development Opportunities Program was charged with the planning for the urban redevelopment and place making of precincts surrounding the new station precincts and c. 200,000 m2 of mixed use redevelopment on land held by CRLL itself. The commercial advice included a comprehensive ‘Packaging and Contracting’ strategy to take these development opportunities to market and to optimise financial and other outcomes whilst balancing risks for CRLL and its shareholders – the Crown and Auckland Council.
