OVERVIEW
Steve is an accomplished manager/team leader with an extensive background in community development, strategic planning, project management, facility planning, regional development, education, training and leadership initiatives.
He has over 20 years experience, working at a senior management level, in the sport, recreation, parks and leisure industry.
In 2006, Steve was elected as National President of Parks and Leisure Australia.
After 14 years, working for the Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) as a Regional Manager, Steve was seconded as Executive Director establish Active Alliance WA. The organisation represented the recreation and fitness sectors
He was also responsible for establishing DSR's education and training unit in 2006, which included the development and launch of the Emerging Leaders Program, aimed at local government, sport, recreation, fitness and outdoor recreation personnel.
In 2008, joined SOL AYR Developments as General Manager Business Development and was responsible for securing sites to develop health, aquatic, medical, lifestyle centres.
Steve commenced with SGL in June 2009
