OVERVIEW
Cam has over 30 years experience in state and local government leadership, strategic planning and evaluation, community development leisure and cultural development.
After 4 years with the Department of Youth Sport and Recreation in Victoria from 1977, and 5 years as Manager Community and Recreation Services in a Victorian Council, he moved back to Adelaide. Since returning he has worked in senior management and strategic roles in Adelaide Councils.
He has lead the State Professional body for local government community development and management for 5 years.
Cam believes effective and inspirational leadership, collaborative approaches and a strong planned measured and evaluated approach is essential for sustainable community outcomes, in increasingly competitive environments.
He has a strong background and skills in leadership, strategic planning and management, negotiation and collaborative approaches, project management, community engagement and governance in local government.
He recently resigned his role as Director Community and Information Services at the City of Mitcham to take up a position with SGL.
